British and Russian convoys in the European war theatre.
Subsequently the Alabama saw extensive action in the South Pacific Islands
softening
Japanese defenses prior to US invasions.
In mid-1945 Alabama participated in shelling factories and other
industrial
sites north of Tokyo, and ultimately was anchored in Tokyo harbor
at the close of the war. She participated in returning thousands of troops back
to the USA
after the Japanese surrender.
Kit consists of 480 parts on 12 sprues plus lower and upper hulls, waterline
plate,
and display stand. Markings are for 1942 Measure 12.
